Gas stoves are not only dangerous because we often times forget to turn them off which can lead to a fire, but also because they increase the risk from cancer, according to scientists.
Moreover, according to the Independent, gas produces far more carcinogenic fumes which occur during cooking with gas and you are standing next to a gas stove. What’s more, the gas fumes can cause lung, bladder and cervix cancer. Actually, as some scientists stated, this is the reason why a big percentage of women non-smokers died from lung cancer. Research conducted in Taiwan showed that the risk from cancer increases with the increased hours spent in cooking with gas stoves. For example, in China, there is a higher frequency of lung cancer in chefs since they spent a lot of time inhaling fumes from boiling oil.
